Animals
Known because of its great animal diversity, the Amazon show us that is still a lot of fauna to be discovered. Who think that new species could be only insects, fishes, amphibians and birds is mistaken. During my short period of living with the jungle, a researcher that followed me in the jungle went back home with the hope of a new mammal’s discovery: a sloth with strange canine teeth. Besides, only the Amazon proportions to encounters like those who I had, with the Tamanduaí - the smallest anteater of the world, very rare, very few known and without specimens in zoos -, the Harpy Eagle – the most powerful eagle of the planet – and the Anaconda – the queen of the rivers.
